Oka North & Oka South Projects

Location: Cuyuni Mining District, Guyana | Ownership: 90% (Following completion of acquisition)

Liberty Metals’ Oko North and Oko South Gold Projects comprise a district-scale gold exploration package within Guyana’s Cuyuni Mining District. The Project covers approximately ~180km² across 40 granted mining permits and two consolidated blocks within the Oko gold district.

Oko North directly abuts ground associated with the Oko gold system, while Oko South is located approximately 30km south of the Oko deposits and is interpreted to cover the southern structural continuation of the mineralised trend.

Oka North & Oka South Projects

Geological Setting
The Oko North and Oko South Projects are underlain by greenstone-belt rocks of the Cuyuni belt within the Barama-Mazaruni Group of the Guiana Shield. The Guiana Shield formed part of the West African Leo-Man Shield prior to the opening of the Atlantic Ocean and hosts Birimian-style greenstone geology associated with major gold discoveries across West Africa.

The Project has seen limited historical systematic exploration, despite widespread historical alluvial and artisanal gold workings across the tenure.

This combination of prospective greenstone geology, major regional structures and existing gold workings provides a large-scale greenfields exploration opportunity within an established gold district.

The Oko Gold District
The Oko district has emerged as a significant gold district within the Guiana Shield, with approximately 9.3Moz Au delineated across nearby third-party projects, substantially all of it discovered within the past five years.

The district has undergone significant consolidation around G Mining Ventures’ (TSX: GMIN) Oko Gold Mines. The Oko West Feasibility Study defined Probable Reserves of 4.64Moz Au and Indicated Resources of 5.4Moz Au, plus 0.4Moz Inferred. Following G Mining Ventures’ acquisition of G2 Goldfields, Oko West and Oko-Ghanie were consolidated into a single ~362km² Oko Project holding combined Measured & Indicated Resources of 7.0Moz Au and Inferred Resources of 2.3Moz Au.

Our Oko North Project directly abuts ground associated with the Oko gold system, while Oko South is located approximately 30km south of the Oko deposits and is interpreted as covering the southern structural continuation of the mineralised trend. Nearby Mineral Resources are located outside our tenure and are not necessarily indicative of mineralisation within our Projects.

Guyana
Guyana is an established gold jurisdiction within the Guiana Shield and hosts an extension of the Birimian-style greenstone geology that supports major gold provinces across West Africa. The country has established large-scale gold operations while remaining comparatively underexplored relative to its West African geological counterparts.

Mining permits in Guyana are typically granted in relatively small individual blocks, making the assembly of large contiguous exploration positions challenging. Our 40-permit package provides the Company with a substantial consolidated position within the Cuyuni Mining District.
